GeoJSON
Fossils
Pelitomorphic limestones with fauna from the lower-middle Devonian, which are probably tectonic wedges and scales, have been excluded from the composition of these suites. Previously, some researchers (458; 508; Kulesh et al., 1974; Keshishyan et al., 1983, etc.) believed that a continuous section of Silurian, Devonian, and Carboniferous deposits was preserved Here; others (73; 474; O.I. Kim et al., 1976; Mikhailov, 1988) describe Sultanuzdag Gr as a system of lenticular tectonic scales, which explains the alternation of metamorphic rock bands with bands of weakly metamorphosed rocks.
